Thought Leadership
"Not only do these guys know how to make great videos, they're also experts in B2B marketing"

Eamon Jubawwy
CEO, Isometric
Isometric is a climate tech company that aims to bring transparency into the carbon removal market. Nick leads the marketing team over there and he came to us because he wanted to create thought leadership content to support the launch of their new Biochar protocol.
For this project, we produced 1 x hero video and 3 x standalone clips for social.
Objectives
As always, we kicked things off with a strategy workshop. We defined 2 key objectives for this video:
Announce the launch of their new protocol
Show domain expertise around biochar carbon removal
Having established these objectives we determined the main content pillars for our video:
Explain benefits of biochar for carbon removal
Showcase Isometric’s carbon registry platform
Highlight differentiation from other registry platforms
Finally we decided where the video would actually be published and how it would be used:
Published on Isometric’s website
Published on Linkedin
Turned into a paid ad as part of an ABM campaign
Send to prospects as part of cold outbound
Storyboarding
Given that one of the main objectives of this video is to build credibility around the Isometric brand, we decided it should feature their Chief Science Officer.
She would speak with authority about the benefits of biochar for carbon removal while Isometric’s Partnership Lead would highlight the commercial benefits of going through Isometric’s platform.

Instead of using a word for word script, we decided it would be more natural to show our talent being interviewed by somebody off-camera. We’d therefore record 30 mins of footage each and then take the best answers when we were assembling them into a story in the post-production phase.
Once the storyboard and concept were signed off by Nick from isometric we put together a shot list for the b-roll and got to discussing the location of the shoot.
Location scouting
In most cases the client’s office is not the best location for a video and we were candid with Isometric about that. But when we actually went round to their office for a recce we realised that they actually had a lot of great options.

We picked the two backdrops we thought would be the strongest and planned our lighting set-up around those.
Filming Day
The benefit of using the client’s office is that you have a lot more time to get the shots you need.

We arrived at 9am and made sure everything was set up for the first interview at 11.
Once the first interview wrapped at 11.30 we started setting up the second interview which took another 1.5 hours.
Both interviews were done by 1.30pm so we spent 45 mins shooting b-roll using our shot-list as a guide.
Editing
We normally do 2 rounds of editing revisions per video but this one was done in 1 round.

Once the main video was signed off we did some vertical cut-downs for social, combining these with some other bits of unused footage from the main interviews.
That was it on Isometric. If you’d like to chat with us about an upcoming video project – book a call with us here.
