Kulipa allows crypto companies to issue their customers with credit cards. They came to us because they’d just signed a major customer (Argent) and they wanted to create content that promoted the new partnership.
For this project, we made 1 x hero video and 3 x additional shorts.
Objectives
Kulipa is the first mover in a rapidly growing industry, so our key goal for this video was to establish their reputation as the most trusted player in this space.
We were lucky because the CEO of Argent, who was being featured in the case study, was well-known in the crypto community and this meant not only that he would bring eyeballs to this video but also that everything he said would carry weight.
We therefore decided we’d start the interview with him and then switch to the Kulipa CEO, roughly following the structure below:
Argent CEO:
Explain why they decided to launch a new card
Talk about challenge of launching card without a good partner
Explain how Kulipa helped them
Kulipa CEO:
Explain what makes Kulipa different
Describe the vision behind Kulipa
Future roadmap

Once we had a sign-off on the structure we put together a script in the form of a Q&A.

Eleanor from Fabric Ventures, who is one of the investors in Kulipa, kindly agreed to conduct both interviews.

Filming Day
Having done a recce at Kulipa’s offices, we ultimately decided that it would be better to hire a separate venue for the shoot. We chose this venue in Clerkenwell which had plenty of natural light and was easy for everybody to get to.


Based on the layout of the space, we put together a plan for where our lights and cameras would go.
Editing
As this video would be published on socials, we knew we had to nail the intro. Fortunately, we had some great footage of the Kulipa card being launched into space which immediately gave us our visual hook.
We then chose the most compelling soundbites from both interviews and layered on a fun soundtrack with some additional animations.
Distribution
The hero video went out on LinkedIn first before being turned into a paid ad to run as part of Kulipa’s ABM campaigns.
They also embedded the video on their homepage to provide that immediate social proof for anybody who visits their landing page.
In addition to the hero video, we also created 3 x short clips for social each loosely based on a key theme from the main video
